Taxes Ministry reveals «illegal" new building of Huseyn Abdullayev

Internationally wanted former Azerbaijani MP and businessman Huseyn Abdullayev, is accused of illegal business activities and tax evasion, according to the report of the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan.

Abdullayev himself is abroad and claims that he is being persecuted for political reasons.

The Ministry of Taxes alleges violations of the law in the activities of "Araz INC", the head of which was de facto, Huseyn Abdullayev (officially the founders of the company are his parents.)

The tax audit revealed that in high-rise building erected in Yasamal district of Baku on the area of ​​2.12 hectares at the territory of the quarters 268-274 (crossing the streets of Nariman Narimanov, Abdulla Shaig and Bashir Safaroglu), from February 1, 2009 to 1 January, 2013 was sold 5242.30 square meters of residential, and 1,043 m of non-residential area; and the profit made 8.224.450, 00 manat.

However, not any declaration on this income was submitted to the tax authorities. In addition, the company carried out construction and installation works without a license from the MES. 

In the state budget is not paid tax on taxes for VAT and income from a legal entity, totaling 1.514. 080.49 manat were not paid to the state budget. 

Huseyn Abdullayev actually running the Ltd., was engaged in illegal business activities, and received 966 023.16 manat income. 

In this regard, a lawsuit was filed against him under the Articles 192.2.2 (illegal business) and 213.2.2 (tax evasion.) Due to evading investigation Abdullayev is on the international wanted list.

Kemandar Nasibov who protected the rights of Abdullayev, commenting on the report form the Ministry of Taxes, said that for the financial and economic activities of the company are responsible officer and accountant, not shareholders. In addition, the legislation does not have the concept of "actual leadership."

Huseyn Abdullayev fell into disfavor after he sharply criticized the government in the parliamentary session in 2007, and beat another pro-government deputy.

Later, he was arrested, received a suspended sentence, and then Abdullayev went abroad.

Some time ago he wrote a song "Susma» (Do not be Silent) calling to fight against injustice in the country. After the song was placed on Youtube, the authorities announced Abdullayev internationally wanted. -16D-
