Qubad İbadoğlu
Baku/21.08.23/Turan: On August 21, the Baku Court of Appeal rejected the complaint of the arrested oppositionist and economist Gubad Ibadoglu. He challenged the decision of the Narimanov court, which recognized the search in the office of Gubad Ibadoglu, where he had not been for the last 2 years.
Gubad Ibadoglu himself participated in the trial, and once again stated that the search and his arrest were illegal.
His brother Ghalib, told Turan that Gubad has lost a lot of weight, he is tormented by blood pressure and high blood sugar.
*On July 24, the Narimanov District Court of Baku arrested Gubad Ibadoglu for 3 months and 26 days on charges of making counterfeit money.
The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said that Ibadoglu is associated with supporters of Fethullah Gulen, accused of an attempted coup in Turkey in 2016.
Gubad Ibadoglu does not accept the accusations, considering them absurd. ---16D--

Elvin Zeynalov, a religious activist living in the village of Mashtaga, was detained on January 31 around noon by individuals in plain clothes outside a store near his home. On January 31, the trial of opposition politician Tofig Yagublu continued at the Baku Serious Crimes Court, where the examination of documents resumed.
