Today, the Baku Court of Appeal considered a complaint against the extension of the arrest of activist Ilkin Amrahov, who was taken into custody "in the case of Toplum TV". The complaint was filed in connection with the extension of Amrahov's pre-trial detention until October 6. The Court of Appeal did not satisfy the complaint, the lawyer of the activist Rovshan Rahimova told Turan.
She said that the defense would file a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights in connection with the violation of Article 5 (right to freedom and personal integrity) of the European Convention on Human Rights and Freedoms in relation to Amrahov.
Today, the Court of Appeal also rejected the complaint of economist Farid Mehralizadeh against the refusal to transfer him to house arrest. He was arrested "in the case of Abzas Media".
