The European Commission allocated 3 million euros to the victims of the Karabakh region
Baku/19.11.20/Turan: The European Commission has decided to allocate an additional 3 million euros to provide humanitarian assistance to affected civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh and areas around it. This is stated in the message of the EU Delegation in Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the European Commission has already allocated 900 thousand euros for this purpose.
European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janec Lenarcic said that while welcoming the suspension of hostilities, the EU continues to provide humanitarian assistance to civilians.
“Despite this, I am concerned about the humanitarian conditions of various populations that will face difficulties in the winter, as well as the risks of the coronavirus pandemic,” he said.
He noted that EU assistance is provided on the basis of neutrality, impartiality and humanitarian principles. –71D-
