The rate of manat is stable, and the fall in oil prices is not felt, Ilham Aliyev
«ASAN xidmet» occupies a special place among the institutional measures against corruption and bribery, said the President Ilham Aliyev, speaking to volunteers of this structure in Sabirabad. "Azerbaijani citizens everywhere must be met with respect, especially in state organs, and their rights should not be violated. The government officials should not cause them any inconvenience, and impose unreasonable demands to them," said Aliyev. He further noted that Azerbaijan relies on innovation and economic reforms.
"Azerbaijan has a great international reputation. Azerbaijan is known as a reliable partner, has strong economic foundations, and strong army. Today our army is among the strongest armies in the world. Socio-political situation in Azerbaijan is very positive, the economic and political situation is stable. At the same time, all around us, we can say, boils, burns, there are bloody conflicts, wars, crises," he said.
Referring to the global economic crisis, Aliyev said that Azerbaijan is not in danger.
"Oil prices have dropped considerably, but has anyone in Azerbaijan felt it? No, and no one will feel, because we have strong economic foundations. The rate of manat is stable, and it allows us to say that we have economic power, sound policy, and social policy. The stability of the manat is perhaps not so positive factor for our export potential. But it is a social issue. So it should be, " said Aliyev.
Then the head of state said that Azerbaijan was "ready to share its experience of a unique development."
"We are pursuing an independent policy. No foreign power can affect our will. We do not do anything and will not do anything under someone else's dictation. We will always speak out and demonstrate our principled position," he said in conclusion. -02D-
