In Armenia, foreign diplomats showed video of the "torture" of Armenian captive
Yerevan / 17.12.14 / Turan- ArmInfo: On December 16 an Ombudsman of Armenia December 16 in the office of Human Rights Defender organized a private screening of a video of torture Armenian captive Hakob Injigulyan, reported the Armenian media.
The press service of the Ombudsman argues that the video has been removed from the phone of Hasan Hasanov, a member of the "subversive" group who was killed in Kalbajar. The record was transmitted to the Ombudsman of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The video was shown to a number of diplomatic missions and international organizations, in particular the United Kingdom, Germany, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, and the UN.
Hakop Injigulyan was in the Azerbaijani captivity in August 2013, at the beginning of this year, he was sent to a third country, and in September returned to Armenia.
The Azerbaijani side has denied the allegations of torture Injigulyan, calling such reports a provocation. In the period of captivity Injigulyan was repeatedly visited by representatives of the Red Cross.
Injigulyan himself stated that he had voluntarily transferred to the Azerbaijani side. -02D-
