Baku / 21.02.20 / Turan: The State Security Service announced the details of the operation in the city of Neftechala on the evening of February 21, where a number of officials from the region were detained the day before.
In particular, the head of the district, Ismail Valiyev, his first deputy Vurgun Akperov, the head of the Department of Architecture and Construction, Vugar Nagiyev, who are accused of extorting money from entrepreneurs and officials, of a lower rank, was detained.
During the investigation, money and lists of persons from whom they were received were withdrawn from these individuals, as well as the heads of several executive departments Gultakin Sadigova and Anar Jafarov.
These abuses have led to corruption in education, healthcare and other public institutions.
