Turkey-Azerbaijan preferential trade agreement entered into force
Baku / 26.12.20 / Turan: An agreement on preferential trade with Azerbaijan entered into force in Turkey. The text of the agreement was published on Saturday in the official gazette of the Turkish government - Resmi Gazete, Anadolu reports. The law, among others, empowers the head of state to approve directly new amendments to the agreement in the future. The document was signed on February 25, 2020 following the results of the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Cooperation Council in the presence of Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev.
The purpose of the "Agreement on preferential trade between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey" is to reduce or eliminate duties on goods, create favorable conditions for fair competition, predictable and safe environment for the growth of trade. -0—

The relevant intergovernmental agreement was signed by the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Indonesia, Jeyhun Bayramov and Retno Marsudi, on September 27 during a meeting at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
