Visit of the President of Albania Bayram Begay
Baku/06.03.23/Turan: President of Albania Bayram Begay arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit today.
First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyubov and other Azerbaijani officials met him at the Baku airport.
According to the Albanian media, discussions on the development of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of projects in the gas sector will be held in Baku at the highest level.
The Albanian side has already expressed interest in Azerbaijan's creation of a gas distribution system in this country.
Currently, Azerbaijani gas is supplied to Albania via the TAP pipeline with the aim of further pumping through the Adriatic to Italy.
Gas transit can also be carried out through Albania to other countries of the Balkan region, which have also expressed interest in the supply of hydrocarbons from Azerbaijan. ---06B---
