16 persons held liable for substandard products
Baku / 03/15/19 / Turan: As a result of joint actions by the Food Safety Agency and the Office for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General, measures have been taken to prevent the sale of low-quality products.
A total of 12 criminal cases were initiated, and 16 persons were prosecuted, reads the joint statement by the two departments.
In particular, in the city of Baku, Absheron, Agjabedi and Barda regions in meat pavilions and slaughterhouses was identified the implementation of poor-quality livestock meat.
According to these facts, 8 people were brought to criminal responsibility and arrested.
Currently, these illegal actions are being investigated, other entities supplying poor-quality meat to catering facilities are being established. -05D06 ---
