A fire near the Dubendi Oil Terminal
A dry grass fire began approximately 15:00 at the Dubendi oil terminal. The fire swept an oil pipe area, according to sources close to the scene. Fire brigades have been sent.
The Ministry for Emergency Situations has not commentted on the reason for the fire. There are no injures.
Oil through the Dubendi terminal, on the northern coast of Absheron, is transported from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, which is unloaded from tankers and filled into tanks, which follow later to Black Sea ports. Millions of tons of oil are transported annually through this major transport hub.
This is the second major fire in Baku today. The first fire occurred in a dormitory for refugees, and extinguished after a few hours. Most of the dormitory burned. -02В-
