A. Ismayilov : MIA responded to reports of police lawlessness
Baku/14.04.14/Turan : The Chief of the Investigations Department Sarvar Mehraliyev received the lawyer Aslan Ismayilov on April 14 at 11.00 on the case of the citizen Zakir Huseynov.
This story received wide publicity in social networks. Huseynov's daughter for two months after the marriage was battered by her husband and, unable to bear the torture, returned to her father's house.
Relatives of the husband tried to force the daughter to return home. At the same time, Huseynov and his mother were beaten and taken to the hospital . Huseynov complained to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office, however the Khatai police opened a criminal case on the very Huseynov.
The husband's parents occupy senior positions - his mother is in the Cabinet , and his father is in the MOE. According to Huseynov, they put pressure on the police.
Nevertheless , Sabail District Court dismissed the police petition to arrest Huseynov on April 8. Police filed a protest in the Baku Appeals Court and Judge Amir Bayramov considered the protest today , just an hour after the meeting of Aslan Ismayilov in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and decided to detain Zakir Huseynov. The Lawyer Yavar Huseynov told Turan that "unfortunately the court has not accepted our arguments."
As noted Ismayilov in an interview with Turan, during today's meeting the head of the Interior Ministry was interested in the details of this story.
Mehraliyev assured Ismayilov that this case is under the personal supervision of the Interior Minister Ramil Usubov and promised a thorough objective investigation .
Ismayilov is convinced that in this case the police themselves broke the law by falsifying the criminal case. -06D -
