A PFPA activist who disappeared in August was found in an isolation cell
Baku/25.10.23/Turan: Member of the Popular Front Party (PFPA) Elbey Kerimli, who disappeared in August, was arrested on drug charges, sources in the party told Turan.
The fact that the activist was arrested became known to his comrades only on October 24. "I haven't heard from him for almost two months. Party comrades called his contact numbers, which were not answered. They couldn't get any information from the police either.
"An unknown person called yesterday and reported that Elbey Kerimli is being held in the Baku pre-trial detention Center No. 1," one of the party members told Turan.
According to information from the PNFA, Elbey Kerimli was charged with drug possession. It happened after he was making a video shooting of the statue of Heydar Aliyev in Baku.
It was not possible to get information on this issue from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. ---21B---
