State Border Service on foreigners who entered Azerbaijan in 2023
Baku/25.10.23/Turan: According to the State Statistics Committee, with reference to the State Border Service, 1 million,535 thousand people arrived in Azerbaijan in January-September 2023 - foreigners and stateless persons from 184 countries of the world. This is by 32.1% more than in the corresponding period last year.
Of them, 31.0% are from Russia, 17.8% from Turkey, 7.5% from Iran, 4.8% from Georgia.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of arrivals from China increased by 8.2 times, from South Korea – by 3.4 times, Turkmenistan – by 2.9 times, India – 2.1 times, from Poland – 2 times, from Kazakhstan – 1.9 times, from Tajikistan - 1.9 times, from Egypt - 1.8 from the Philippines - 1.8 times, from Kyrgyzstan - 1.8 times, from Bahrain - 1.6 times, from Belarus - 1.6 times, from Moldova - 1.6 times, from Uzbekistan - 1.6 times, from Spain. - 1.6 times, from Italy - 1.6 times, from the Russian Federation - 1.5 times, from the USA – by 41.4%, from Canada - 41.1%, from Israel - 34.6%, from Georgia - 31.7%, from the Netherlands - 30.2%, from the UK - 26.3%, from Kuwait - 24,%, from France - 23.2%, from Germany - 20.6%, from Turkey – 20%, increased from the UAE - 11.6%, from Ukraine - 8.6%.
Compared to January-September 2022, the total number of Azerbaijani citizens who left for foreign countries increased by 24.7%, amounting to 1 million 384 thousand.
The number of those who left for Russia increased by 49.5%, to Georgia - by 31.7%, to Turkey - by 17.5%. The number of those who left for Iran decreased by 17%. ---05B---
