A supporter of Tale Bagirzadeis released
Baku/04.06.18/Turan: Motabar Babayev, known for supporting the leader of the movement "Muslim Unity" Tale Bagirzadeh, was released for being unlawfully imprisoned for illegal possession of weapons. Babayev was recognized as a human rights activist by political prisoners.
Today, Babayev was released from prison No. 5 due to the completion of the prison sentence. Babayev's relatives reported this to Turan. He was detained at the end of November 2015 in Sabirabad region a few days after the special operation of the police in Nardaran, when Bagirzade was arrested with a group of his supporters.
Babayev, on charges of illegal possession of weapons, was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison. According to the investigation, Babaev participated in the disorder in Nardaran, then he left for Sabirabad, taking the Kalashnikov assault rifle with cartridges and hiding them near his house in the village of Khankechen.
Babayev denied the charges in court and said that he was tortured in the police. -05D06-.
