Afgan Mukhtarly's Wife Dissatisfied with Investigation Conducted by Georgian Police
Baku / 12.07.17 / Turan: The spouse of the journalist Afgan Mukhtarly, who was arrested in Azerbaijan, Leila Mustafayeva, along with the lawyer, got acquainted with the materials of the criminal investigation launched in Georgia on the complaint of her husband's abduction in Tbilisi. They were not satisfied with the progress of the investigation.
In the materials of the criminal case there are records from the CCTV cameras.
"Two of these videos have images of Afgan. But we could only see one thing. Due to technical problems, the second video did not open. We were told that video cameras related to the Ministry of Internal Affairs along the whole route of Afgan's movement on the day of the abduction did not work. Allegedly the system in these cameras is being updated, and repair work is under way. It is also alleged that on that day the cameras of the store where Afgan bought bread and the nearby pharmacy did not work. About 10 cameras located in the crossing, through which Afgan went, did not work either," said Mustafayeva.
According to her, the lawyers will take the necessary steps in accordance with legal procedures.
It should be reminded that a criminal case was brought against Mukhtarli under articles 315.2, 318.1 and 206.1 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (violence against a representative of the authorities, illegal border crossing and smuggling).
The Azerbaijani authorities claim that he was detained while illegally crossing the border with 10 thousand euros in his pocket.
However, in fact, he was abducted by the employees of the criminal police of Georgia and handed over to the representatives of Azerbaijan.
The reason for kidnapping the journalist was his investigation of the corruption of the leadership of Azerbaijan. In addition, the authorities consider Mukhtarly a link in the transfer of money from Western institutions to the Azerbaijani opposition.-06B-

The Business Continuity test of Azercell's CMG project was conducted in the Alat Free Economic Zone. A real-time Business Continuity test of the CMG – Crisis Management Group of Azercell, which is a leading mobile operator in the country, was conducted in the Alat Free Economic Zone. For implementation of the first tests Azercell was partnering with Azercosmos, Aztelekom, and Baktelecom. During the simulation, a crisis was created by completely cutting off communication in the designated area. Technical teams from the regions arrived at the scene during the crisis drill, initiating efforts to restore communication. Initially, groups installed two mobile Base Stations in the area, providing 2G service to a limited number of subscribers using facilities of the national satellite. In the next stage, high-speed internet, 3G, and 4G networks were restored, and the area was equipped with 100-megabit Wi-Fi service. It's worth noting that in comparison to previous tests, the recovery time was reduced by half in this simulation test. All mentioned recovery operations were carried out by teams from the regions and the groups of experts specially trained by Azercell.
