Ali Hasanov decided to monitor students abroad
Azerbaijani youth studying abroad should be organized and create network associations. These groups should act as components of ASAIF (Forum of Azerbaijani Students Abroad), coordinated from a single center. The main work of these groups should be the Diaspora and lobbying activities.
This was stated by the head of the public policy department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov at the XII International Forum of Azerbaijani Students and Graduates of Foreign Universities.
Hasanov told the youth studying abroad to be closely integrated into the cultural life of the host countries, to carry out information work on the culture, history and tourism potential of Azerbaijan, and to protect the image of Azerbaijan as a tolerant country.
According to him, at present abroad, there are about 300 registered youth organizations.
"For us, along with education of Azerbaijani youth, also important is their social life and organizational structuring," said Hasanov.
He recalled that ASAIF was created with the aim of forming a network of Azerbaijani students and coordinating their activities.
Note that earlier work with young people and the activities of the ASAIF was overseen by the former head of the political analysis and information support department Elnur Aslanov. However, after his disgrace, this area came under the control of Hasanov, and a sector was established in his division to work with youth organizations.
Previously, a major pro-government youth movement Ireli passed under the influence of Hasanov. -16D06-
