During of December 2014, in the frontal zone of the country experts of the National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) found and defused 76 unexploded ammunition items and 18 mines (with one anti-tank mine). This was stated by ANAMA on the results of last year.
According to the same source, so far they have checked and cleared lands with a total area of 278 million sq. m. They found and neutralized 689,623 units of unexploded ordnance, shells and mines.
The mine cleaning work has been conducted in Agdam, Agjabadi, Fuzuli, Tartar and Gazakh for many years. -16D-
