Another Soldier Dead in Non-Combat Conditions
A soldier was accidentally killed in a military unit during the execution of housework. The soldier, Tural Haziyev was born in 1993 and was called into military service from the Khatai district of Baku.
The press service of the Defense Ministry confirmed the report, saying that Haziyev was killed by an electric shock as a result of careless handling of electricity.
According to unofficial statistics, this year the number of soldiers’ deaths (in terms of combat and non-combat losses) is close to 60, and over 70 soldiers have been wounded. -16D04-

Today, on January 27, the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) begins. Last week, on January 21, a group of international human rights organizations called on PACE not to restore the mandate of Azerbaijan's delegation or to do so under "clear" conditions. In their letter to PACE, they wrote: "The increasing repression of civil society, independent media, and political dissidents in Azerbaijan violates the values of the Council of Europe. Azerbaijan persistently refuses to cooperate with international mechanisms and fails to address systematic human rights violations."

The certificates of plastic surgeons who have not submitted their documents to the Ministry of Health by January 31 will be annulled, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan announced on January 27. According to the same source, a Special Inspection Commission has been created to determine the legal basis for the activities of plastic surgeons.
