
The Court of Serious Crimes continued the trial in the "Nardaran case." Today four other defendantsrefused confession during the preliminary investigation, describing brutal torture during detention and in the the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime Ministry of Internal Affairs. They stated that they had no weapons and offered no resistance, and two policemen were killed by the fire of their own colleagues.
One of the accused, Shamil Abdulaliev, said that during the raid he was shot three times. However, the police did not allow doctors of Sabunchu police to remove them, and in such state g he stated in the solitary confinement for two months. The leader of the "Muslim Unity" Movement Thale Bagirzade protested against the fact that in their reports the country's TV channels presenmt the accused as terrorists.
"This is the order ofAli Hasanov, the assistant of the president of state Ali Hasanov to represent us as terrorists and spies," said Bagirzade. "We are not afraid of Ali Hasanovor Ilham Aliyev - continued Bagirzade. They oppress people for many years. Sometime an end will come ti this. We are fighting for a democratic system, and we know that you will read out the sentence which they dictate you," he said.
* In the course of a special operation in Nardaran on November 26, 2015 6 people were killed in the crossfire, including two policemen. Total in this case about 70 people were brought to trial, mostly members and supporters of the "Muslim unity" Movement. They are accused of a number of Articles of the Criminal Code: an attempt to forcibly change the constitutional system, the creation of an organized armed criminal groups, etc. PFPA Deputy Chairman Fuad Gahramanli is accused of anti-state calls, inciting religious hatred, and calling for riots. -06D-
