The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports about the arrest of major drug traffickers - this time two young activists of the opposition movement NIDA - Bayram Mammadov and Giyas Ibrahimov.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Bayram Mammadov living in the Sabunchu district was withdrawn about 3 grams of heroin. On examination of his flat more than 1 kilogram of heroin was found,
2.6 grams of heroin were seized from Giyas Ibrahimov living in the Nasimi district. More than 1 kilogram was seized from his flat.
The lawyer of the detainees Elchin Sadigov was not allowed to the young people, which are contained in the 12th Police Department of the Narimanov district of the capital.
"They were forced to sweep the floors in the temporary detention center. They were very scared and when I protested against that, I was kicked out without letting me talk to the detainees," the lawyer told Turan.
According to NIDA, the true reason for the detention of these young people is that they painted the pedestal of the monument to Heydar Aliyev in the center of Baku on the night of May 10.
On charges of possession of drugs on a large scale, the young people face up to 12 years in prison. -16B-

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
