AZAL plane made technical flight to Zangilan airport
Baku/09.09.22/Turan: On September 9, the largest passenger aircraft of "Azerbaijan Airlines" (AZAL) airbus A340-500 made its first technical flight to the Zangilan international airport located in Eastern Zangezur.
The flight time from Baku to Zangilan was 45 minutes. The airport in Zangilan will be multifunctional to operate as an important tool for solving economic, transport and social issues of the region, AZAL said in a statement.
The new airport was awarded the international ICAO and IATA codes, and received all the call signs of EUROCONTROL navigation aids.
The length and width of the runway at the airport are 3000/60 meters, respectively. The area of the platform is 60.000 square meters.
Note that Zangilan airport, the second after Fizuli airport, built on the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation. -06D-
