Azerbaijan is in second place in terms of the number of medals in Islamabad
Baku / 17.05.17 / Turan: On the fifth day of Islamabad Azerbaijani athletes won two more gold medals: Paralympic athlete Samir Nabiyev won the discus throw, showing the result of 45.17 meters.
Ragib Mammadov won the gold medal in the 110m hurdles race, breaking the track in 14.18 seconds.
At 18:00 on May 17, the Azerbaijani team won 85 awards, including 43 gold, 26 silver and 16 bronze medals. In the medal stand, Azerbaijan is in second place, behind Turkey, which has 122 medals (45 gold medals). Iran ranks third with 41 medals, (11 gold medals).
Next are Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
The greatest number, five golden medals won Ruslan Lunev, the shooter among Azerbaijani athletes.
