Azerbaijan ranks the 105th place in citizenship rating
Baku/22.11.19/Turan: The Azerbaijani passport in the ranking of world citizenship KälinandKochenov'sQualityofNationalityIndex (QNI) took 105th place, receiving 30.1%.
Compared with last year, Azerbaijan’s indicators grew by 0.2%, the report said on November 20.
In 2014, Azerbaijan ranked the 87th place in this rating, but then the quality of the citizenship of Azerbaijan was estimated at 29.7%. Today, the quality of citizenship of the country, the compilers of the QNI rating are still rated as "low."
Among the countries of the former USSR, Estonia leads (19th place), Latvia and Lithuania (together with Poland share the 20th). The quality of citizenship of these countries is estimated at 77.1% and 77% respectively. Russia occupies 62nd place (42%), Ukraine 75th place (38.2%), Georgia 77th (37.5%), Kazakhstan 84th (35.7%) Belarus 86th (34.8), Armenia - 98th (31.7%).
The leader of the rating is France (the quality of citizenship is 83.5%). Germany and the Netherlands share 2-3 places (82.8%).
Further in the ranking up to the 24th position are exclusively European countries.
US ranks the 25th. Ranking closes South Sudan (15.9%, 157th place), Afghanistan (15.4%, 158th place) and Somalia (13.8%, 159th place). The last position with a zero rating is occupied by the Channel Islands.
The compilers of the rating take into account the scale of the country's economy, the public order in the country, the number of countries into which a citizen of each particular country can enter without a visa or obtain a visa directly at the entrance, the number of countries in which a citizen has the right to live and work freely , and a number of other factors.
In this rating, Azerbaijan occupies 119th place (19.2%) in terms of the National Ethnic Value. Four parameters reflect the external value of nationality: the diversity of freedom of movement (15%), the weight of freedom of movement (15%), the diversity of freedom of settlement (15%) and the weight of freedom of settlement (15%).
In terms of freedom of settlement, the country ranked 46th (3.9%). The weight of freedom of settlement estimates the quality of freedom of settlement of the holder of citizenship. This is achieved by studying human development (50%) and economic power (50%) of countries in which a citizen has access to settlements. The weight of freedom of calculations is 15% of the total scale of the overall QNI rating.
Freedom of movement is an indicator according to which Azerbaijan occupies 107th place (34.5%). The freedom of movement indicator measures the quality of freedom of movement when a holder of citizenship can make short-term visits without a visa or with a visa. Weight of Freedom takes into account the value of having a visa-free or visa access to a specific country.
