Azerbaijan will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Khojaly genocide
The head of state issued a decree on the 25th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, according to which the ceremonies will be held in the country. Administration of the President instructed to prepare and to organize the events.
At night on 25 to 26 February, 1992, the Armenian forces, with the support of 366 Russian regiment, captured and burned the second largest Azerbaijani settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh - the town of Khojaly. At the same time, they killed 613 residents, 150 were missing and more than 700 were taken prisoner. Those who committed these war crimes are the current and former Armenian political and military leadership, and they have not been punished.
Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan has established the names of 40 people who have committed these crimes. -02D-
