Azerbaijani Soccer Team Beats Norway
The Azerbaijan national soccer team in the qualifying match of the world championship of 2018 beat at the Norwegian team with the score 1: 0 in Baku on October 8.
The only goal was scored at the 11th minute after the defender Maxim Medvedev successfully joined the attack. Agabala Ramazanov saw Medvedev being in a favorable position in the center of the penalty area and gave the ball to him. Medvedev kicked the ball and scored a goal accurately.
Later, the Norwegians were desperate to win. They had more ball possession and created a number of goal situations at the gate of the national team of Azerbaijan. However, at the last moment the Scandinavians did not act accurately or the goalkeeper of the host team Kamran Agayev played impeccably.
Thus, Azerbaijan won a second consecutive victory in this qualifying. Earlier, on September 4th, the Azerbaijani team won a visit match in San Marino.
With six points the team of Azerbaijan takes the first place in group C. The second place is taken by the German team, which has however played one match less.
Group C also includes the Czech Republic and Northern Ireland. -06B--
