AzTV Employee Dies from Coronavirus
Baku / 01.07.20 / Turan: An employee of the state television channel AzTV Samir Najafzadeh died of the coronavirus infection, the press service of the main state television channel said.
He worked as a director in the channel’s socio-political and analytical programs department.
A few days ago, Najafzadeh was hospitalized after deterioration in his health, but he could not be saved, the report said.
Currently, five more state TV employees are being treated in hospitals, and one has been discharged from the medical facility.
In order to avoid wide spread of the virus in the territory of state TV, disinfection is carried out and employees with a high temperature are not allowed to work. Out of the 3 thousand employees, one thousand people come to work.
According to unofficial data, the total number of media workers infected with the coronavirus in Azerbaijan is about 20. —06D-
