Baku Metro Functioning Again
Metro stations in Baku opened again at 9:40 am - they closed early this morning in connection with an accident at the Mingechevir Hydro power lines.
In subway stations, there was large pandemonium and in many streets there were traffic jams due to the lack of functioning traffic lights. Ground public transport was paralyzed.
Electricity was cut off in various regions of the country in the early morning of September 28 due to an accident at the transmission line from Mingechevir Hydro, located in the west of the country.
The backbone transmission line was disabled due to lightning. And this in turn led to the automatic blocking of the hydropower units.
Work is currently underway to address the effects of the accident. The supply of electricity should resume in the afternoon. -0 -
