Baku Transport Agency to be subordinated to the capital's mayor's office and the Intellectual Transport Management Center to the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Lawyer Agil Layij has accused the chairman of the Baku Court of Appeals, Mubariz Akperov, of mismanagement and called on President Ilham Aliyev to intervene. Layij voiced his concerns in a Facebook post, stating that Akperov's leadership has reduced legal defense to a "formal level."

The decision, formalized under the decree No. 14 on January 23, 2025, aims to align existing legislation with recent presidential directives to enhance traffic management in Baku's administrative territory.
