Bank account of the journalist Aynur Imranovais arrested
Baku/23.05.14/Turan : In accordance with the decision of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), the account of the journalist Aynur Imranova was arrested, Turan was told she Imranova. According to her, the decision was made in connection with a lawsuit brought by the Investigation Department of the Serious Crimes Unit of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan against a number of local and international NGOs under Articles 308.1 (abuse of power) and 313 (forgery) of the Criminal Code.
Imranov is not given 1683 euros transferred to her by a Danish organization "International Media Support." The investigation is motivated by the fact that this amount may be a subject. Imranova thus was not informed about any criminal case, nor about blocking her account. "This money is the fee for one journalistic investigation on the subject of Azerbaijanis deported from Russia," said Imranova. She noted that she is not in this case no witness or victim. Journalist intends to appeal the actions of the investigative body in court.
