Believers detainees in Nardaran face life imprisonment
Fourteen believers detained on November 26 in the village of Nardaran during a special operation are accused of committing serious crimes. In relation to them a preventive measure is arrest for a period of four months, according to law enforcement sources.
They are charged with the following Articles of the Criminal Code: 120 (murder), 214 (terrorism), 220 (rioting), 228 (illegal possession of firearms and ammunition), 233 (organization of actions aimed at disturbing public order or participation therein), 279 ( creation of illegal armed formations or groups), 281 (public appeals against the state), 283 (incitement to religious hatred), 315 (resistance with application of violence concerning the representative of authority), 278 (attempt to seize power.) It is noteworthy that the last Article, provides the maximum penalty as life imprisonment.
On November 26, as a result of special operation carried out by law enforcement officers in the village of Nardaran, Azerbaijan, were detained 14 people, including Shiite theologian Taleh Bagirzade, the head of the Movement "Muslim movement." —06D--
