Situation in the village Nardaran remains tense
Special operation against believers in the village of Nardaran on 26 November, caused unrest among the locals, remains tense, according to the elders in the village Natiq Kerimov. He said that the village still has no electricity, the supply of which was terminated earlier in the day on November 27. The situation is aggravated by the fact that there is not gas supply in the village for several years. Therefore people have to cut down trees to heat their homes. "The population of the village is 9.000 people, among them are the elderly, children, the sick. What does it mean to turn off the electricity in such a cold season? " said Kerimov.
He said that the villagers are outraged with the statement of "Azerishyg" that the entire population of Nardaran are debtors. "As if somebody especially inflames the situation. This is not a way out of the situation," said Karimov. He also noted that law enforcement officers have not yet issued the bodies of the killed.
According to Karimov, first they reported the death of two police officers and four civilians. Now, according to unofficial information, under unclear situation died one more civilian.
"We expect the issue of bodies to hold a funeral. We were told that the bodies will be given on November 28," said Kerimov. He added that the trial should reveal if there are guilty. Karimov pointed out that the prosecution of people without a court order is a violation of the presumption of innocence.
He protested that the TV channels and officials regard the events in Nardaran as terror, anti-state activities. Particular outrage caused the statement of the representative of the prosecutor's office in response to negotiate with the authorities that "we do not negotiate with extremists." "Did he see some extremist activity? Let him show at least one fact," said Karimov. "We have never been against the state and statehood," Karimov said. Currently, the action of protest continues in the village. The police continues to check all incoming and outgoing in Nardaran.
