Border guards prevented drug smuggling from Iran
Baku/22.06.23/Turan: On the evening of June 21, at about 22.20, an attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran was stopped on the territory of Lankaran border guard service.
This is reported by the State Border Service (SBS).
The border patrol used weapons against the violators, who ignored the demand to stop and warnings about opening fire.
The violators, having thrown the packages they had, fled in the direction of Iran. During the border search measures, drugs with a total weight of 12 kg 760 gr. of drugs, including 10 kg 705 gr. of marijuana, 2 kg 55 gr. of opium, were found in packaged form on the territory.
