Border guards seized more than 70 kg drugs from Iranian drug couriers

Baku/25.06.21/Turan: In recent days, the State Border Service (SBS) prevented the smuggling of 70 kg and 405 gram of drugs from Iran, more than a thousand boxes of narcotic and strong drugs.

On June 20, a violation of the border from Iran was recorded on the territory of the "Bala Bahmanli" frontier post of Fizuli region, the message of the SBS. A suspect was noticed who took the package near the Horadiz-Baku highway and tried to escape from the territory. It was a resident of Baku, Maharram Piriyev. When inspecting the package, 34 kg 800 gr. drugs (26 400 gram of heroin, 2000 gram "methamphetamine" and 6400 gram of marijuana) were found.

On June 22, border guards recorded another violation of the state border by Iran at the Bahramtapa checkpoint of the Imishli region. Two suspects were detained while trying to drive a MAZ car to the Bahramtapa-Baku highway. They turned out to be residents of Yevlakh - Jeyhun Ibadi and Elchin Khaligverdiyev.

Packaged drugs were seized from them: (26,442 grams of heroin, 5,863 grams of marijuana, and 3,300 grams of methamphetamine), 920 tablets of methadone M-40 and 150 tablets of pregabalin.  

A criminal case was initiated on both facts. -03В06-
