Citizens complain of two construction firms
Approximately 80 people who bought from the companies "Real" and "Sahil-D" houses in high-rise buildings held protest on Wednesday. The reason for the protest is that four 24-storey building in the streets Fazail Bayramov, 11 (opposite the Baku Entertainment Center) were not commissioned. The buildings have been built seven years ago, but are not provided with gas, water , doors and windows. For these reasons, people cannot begin to repair and live there.
The head of the companies Ilham Qasimov and his entourage, despite repeated assurances about the issues, do not fulfill their promises. According to the owners of property, another problem is the sale of the same apartment to different people. The last time the apartment owners met with management of the company on 1February, and they were told that till the end of the month the apartment will be handed over.
Today, despite the citizens stood before the office for about an hour, nobody received them. After that, the citizens went to the Executive power of Khatai district, where their complaint was listened to, and promised to investigate the case. Turan failed to get comments in these firms. Against the background of the construction boom that began in Baku in mid-2000s, cheating people has become often.
Thus, about 25 companies were involved in scandals in connection with the fraud of citizens. This resulted in incomplete construction, sale of apartments to several people, insecurity of buildings, and other utilities. Responsible persons of more than a dozen companies have been arrested, but the rights of hundreds of citizens were violated. -05B-

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
