Baku / 10.07.17 / Turan: In Baku in the first half of 2017 the number of crimes directed against individuals decreased. Compared to the same period in 2016, the decline was 3.4%. The number of murder attempts decreased by 46.2%. This was stated on July 8 at the operational meeting in the Main Police Department of Baku.
According to the statistical data provided at the meeting, 6,094 crimes were registered in the capital in the first half of the year, while last year this figure was 6,644.
Disclosure for the first 6 months of this year was 79.9% and 81% of serious crimes were disclosed.
Crimes related to murder attempts were disclosed at 100%.
Particular attention was paid to the role of modern technologies in crime detection and prevention, as well as the role of the Safe City service. -0-
