Customs in Nakhchivan seized over 106 kg of heroin
Baku/02.07.22/Turan: At the customs checkpoint "Julfa" of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a large amount of drugs was found in a truck transporting plastic bathtubs for shower cabins to Poland.
The baths had a double bottom, in which more than 102 kg of heroin were hidden, the State Customs Committee reported on February 7.
Some time later, another truck with a similar load drove into the same checkpoint and more than 4 kg of heroin were found in it.
Both trucks were driven by Turkish citizens. In fact, a criminal case has been opened.
Apparently, the trucks were traveling from Iran and were supposed to proceed to Turkey and on to Europe.-02D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
