Baku/02.07.22/Turan: At the customs checkpoint "Julfa" of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a large amount of drugs was found in a truck transporting plastic bathtubs for shower cabins to Poland.
The baths had a double bottom, in which more than 102 kg of heroin were hidden, the State Customs Committee reported on February 7.
Some time later, another truck with a similar load drove into the same checkpoint and more than 4 kg of heroin were found in it.
Both trucks were driven by Turkish citizens. In fact, a criminal case has been opened.
Apparently, the trucks were traveling from Iran and were supposed to proceed to Turkey and on to Europe.-02D-
