Baku/13.12.21/Turan: Another large consignment of heroin was seized on December 11 at "Shahtakhty" customs post of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The State Customs Committee reports that the drugs were found in a truck that was transiting through Nakhchivan to Turkey and from there to Belgium.
The drugs were found in canisters hidden in the vehicle's cache.
A criminal case was initiated under Article 206.2 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (drug smuggling), it was reported.
No identity of the driver and where the car came from is reported. However, the checkpoint "Shahtakhty" borders only with Iran. -0-
