Drug courier detained on border with Iran, and two illegal immigrants from Algeria detained on border with Russia
Baku/13.06.23/Turan: Border service officers prevented another attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran with a total weight of more than 17 kg, the State Border Service said in a statement on June 13.
The first fact was recorded on June 12 near the village of Muganly in the Zangilan region, where 5 kg 370 grams of drugs were found.
On June 13, a smuggling of drugs weighing 11 kg 700 gr by Iranian citizen Dindar Avaz Ghadamali in Imishli region was stopped by the border guard.
Also, 12 border guards on the border with Russia detained two persons who tried to violate the border towards Russia near the village of Samur, the Gusar region. They were Algerian citizens Hermaz Bashir Hamza born in 1996 and Djakhom Mohamed Abdelghani born in 2002. Operational investigative measures are being carried out on these facts. -06B-
