Drug trafficking in Karabakh: there are many facts, but there is no one to check
"The national office of propaganda against drugs" has published a booklet entitled "Drug trafficking in Nagorno-Karabakh."
This structure has been created on the basis of the UN Development Program and the European Union on “Drug Control in the South Caucasus (SCAD.)
The brochure is the first step of the Office, and the next step will be the preparation of a report on the region. The goal is to bring to the agenda of the UN and the agencies involved in drug trafficking, the issue of drug production in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The brochure states that the territories earlier occupied by the Armenians is used as a transit for drug trafficking, and now “according to some sources, drugs are produced there in special laboratories."
Referring to unofficial information, the authors write that the produced high-quality drugs are exported through the rout Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan-Iran-Russia, NK-Iran-Azerbaijan-Europe, and Armenia-Georgia-Black Sea-Europe to markets in Europe and Russia. The authors do not note the source of information.
Responding to a question about confirming documents and facts, the head of the NGO "National Office of propaganda against drugs" ,Mazahir Efendiyev, said that "there are many of the facts."
The problem is, he said, that "all these facts need to be checked." However, since the talk is about the occupied territories, the Azerbaijani side can not check them.
"Our task is to bring this fact to the attention of the world, which has more opportunity to carefully check the facts," said Mazahir Efendiyev. -04DB-
