Elman Hasanov cannot justify a claim to Khadija Ismailova.
Court proceedings against the journalist Khadija Ismailova continued today in the Binagadi Court in Baku. The plaintiff, former oppositionist Elman Turkoglu (Hasanov), argues that Ismaylova defamed him by publishing a document on Facebook about his recruitment by intelligence agencies with the aim of subversion within the opposition.
Hasanov said that this was not true. In turn, Ismaylova indicates that there is not Hasanov’s name in the published document. During the trial Turkoglu said that in March this year he appealed to the National Security Ministry regarding the text published by Ismailova, but received no reply. In September this year, when Ismailova was in Warsaw, he again wrote to the Ministry of National Security(MNS) , and was told to appeal sue, and they promised that the document would be sent.
Turkoglu said that this material was exposed on Facebook in 2011 in the group of "Hylas". According to him, Ismailova together with journalist Natig Adilov did it.
In this regard, a lawyer Elton Guliyev asked Turkoglu – how did he recognize himself in the material, if in the document published in 2011 was noted the name "Elman Hasanbeyli", and the date of his birth is not the same as the date of birth of the plaintiff? Turkoglu could not give a clear answer to this question.
After the judge announced that the next meeting will be held October 11th.
Ismailova, called the lawsuit against her pointless. She believes the her case was ordered by the MNS, and the plaintiff cannot clearly explain his claimst, because in the published material the name of the recruited agency was deleted.
The publication of these topics appeared in 2011 on Facebook on behalf of the named Mustafa Kozlu. -06/03B-
