Sabail District Court chose in respect of Khadija Ismailova preventive measure - arrest for two months. She was charged under Article 125 (bringing to suicide.) Ismayilova has been arrested in the case in connection with the attempted suicide of journalist Tural Mustafayev.
According to Mustafayev, the investigation concluded that Ismaylova drove him to attempt suicide.
"The investigation is ongoing. I have given a subscription about non-disclosure confidentiality of the investigation. So I cannot say anything about my testimony. After completion of the investigation, I will make comments to the press," said Mustafayev meydan.tv.
According to Ismayilova’s acquaintances,Mustafayev allegedly testified that Ismaylova fired him from his job in the Azerbaijani service of "Radio Liberty." However, Ismayilova led the Baku office of the Azerbaijani service of "Radio Liberty" in 2008-2010, and after that she was just an announcer of the program.—16/06D--
