People involved in misappropriation of funds in the construction of roads in Kurdamir arrested
General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General's Office is investigating materials received from the Accounting Chamber of approval material facts of lawlessness during the construction of the road Mollakend-Ahtachi-Eylengulu Kurdamir region.
The investigation revealed that the chairman of "Avtotransyol" Afghan Zeynalov, in secret agreement with the head of the department of architecture and construction executive district, the chief architect Sharif Askerov misappropriated two million and 161,000 manat. The funds were not spent on the construction of the road, as a result the construction of the road was done poorly, and led to the destruction of part of road. As a result, the damaged cause to the state totaled 143,000 manat.
The court decided to remand - arrest in respect of the above persons who have been charged under three Articles of the Criminal Code: 179.3.2 (misappropriation and embezzlement), 308.2 (abuse of power), and 313 (official negligence), the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office. -06D—

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
