Five years fsince the assassination of Rafik Tagi
On November 23 is makred the 5th anniversary of the death of journalist Rafiq Tagi, who was fatally stabbed on 19 November, 2011 at his home, and died three days later in hospital. This murder is still unsolved and the perpetrators have not been found. According to unofficial data, the writer was a victim of religious fanatics who threatened him for a long time. Calls to kill him appeared after the publication of the article "Europe and Us" in the newspaper in November 2006 "Sanat". Then Tagi and editor Samir Sadagatoglu were arrested and convicted for inciting hatred, because the article has been hailed as an insult to Muslims. Two weeks before his death Tags published anti-Iranian article which sharply criticized the existing regime in Iran and Islamic structure of the state. After the assassination the Iranian theologian Tagi Lankaran welcomed the killing of the publitsist.-16D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
