Former head of Baku Mayor's office sentenced to 3 years
Baku/23.12.21/Turan: On Thursday, the Baku Serious Crimes Court sentenced the former head of the Baku City Administration Office, Rasim Guliyev. The court found him guilty of abuse of office, which entailed grave consequences and sentenced him to 3 years in prison.
The Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit on illegal permission to demolish a house, protected as a cultural monument on the St..Dilara Aliyeva, 141 in Nasimi district of Baku. During the trial, Rasim Guliyev repeatedly stated that he did not act at his own discretion, but received instructions from above.
Rasim Guliyev is the brother of Bahruz Guliyev, editor of the "Ses" newspaper, the organ of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party. -02D-
