French Secretary of State Meets with Civil Society Activists in Azerbaijan
The Secretary of State to the Prime Minister of France on Public Administration, Jean-Vincent Place today met with a group of civil society activists in Azerbaijan.
The sides discussed the state and problems of civil society in Azerbaijan.
According to the French official, this topic was raised during his meetings with Azerbaijani officials.
The meeting was attended by the economic experts Gubad Ibadoglu, Samir Aliyev and Rovshan Agayev, the lawyer Ziya Guliyev, the Director of Turan IA Mehman Aliyev, the women's activist Shahla Ismail and the head of the NGO Transparency - Azerbaijan Rena Safaraliyeva.
Recall that during the two-day visit to Azerbaijan the French visitor met with President Ilham Aliyev and the head of ASAN Service Inam Kerimov. He also visited the French Lyceum in Baku. -01C06-

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
