Height of Snow Cover in Mountains Reaches 20 Cm
Baku / 07.12.17 / Turan: Starting from the evening of December 6, snowfalls began in the northern regions of Azerbaijan. Most of the snow fell in the Guba region. Thus, the height of the snow cover in the village of Khinalig (2,300 m above the sea level) is 30 cm. In the neighboring village Gyryz it is 20 cm. The same amount of snow is in the village of Laza of the Gusar region at the foot of Shahdag.
Snow also fell in the Talysh Mountains in the south of the country. Thus, in Lerik and Yardimli the height of the snow cover is 15-20 cm. -02D-
