Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Women on March 8 International Women’s Day
The Head of State Ilham Aliyev sent a message to the women of the country on the occasion of 8 March International Women's Day.
"In their substantive social activities in the name of great ideas the women of Azerbaijan have always adequately preserved the harmony of the inner world. In very different times, when there were complex socio-political changes, they were the true moral pillar of our society."
"I believe that you will continue to make every effort to educate the young generation in a rapidly globalizing world in the spirit of respect for our centuries-old historical and cultural heritage, patriotism and devotion to the Azerbaijanism ideology, mobilize all your strength, talent and ability in the way of enriching the intellectual and spiritual heritage of the nation," the statement says. -02D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
