Ilham Aliyev visits the northern region
During a visit to the northern region of the country President Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of a number of socio-economic infrastructures and cultural facilities.
In particular, on July 18 in Siyazan region a ceremony took place for the start-up operation of the water line and sewerage networks.
The project was implemented by the French company SADE and Azerbaijani RAMKO.
Now all houses in the city are connected to the water supply and sanitation system. A water treatment reservoir was built to extract water from the Second Baku water pipeline,.
Aliyev also adopted a new administrative building of executive power Siazan of the region, and Siyazan regional organization of the "Yeni Azerbaijan" party.
In addition, a Youth Center was opened in Siazan region, which is intended for entertainment and educational purposes.
Aliyev has today arrived in Xachmaz where he opened the Guba-Khachmaz Regional Center, Historical Museum and the Olympic complex.- 06D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
