Import of 34 tons of horse meat into the country prevented
Baku / 30.08.18 / Turan: The food safety agency prevented the import of 34 tons of horse meat, designed as beef. According to the press release of the Agency, the meat was delivered to the country at the request of OOO "Tursan-İ". Supplier, the Georgian company "G & A Group", bought meat in Ukraine. The meat had an international certificate, where it was indicated that it was frozen beef. During the laboratory examination of this batch of meat, it was found that it is horse meat. In this connection, the import of the whole batch of meat to the country was stopped. All those guilty of unlawful actions will be severely punished, the Agency reported. -02D-
